Classes at Urban Fitness

I will be teaching Pilates and Christian Based Yoga at Urban Fitness, 707 Lincolnway.
$5 per class. Start any time. All fitness levels welcome. No commitment, no contracts. You do not have to be a member of Urban Fitness to attend these classes. Bring a mat, water and a friend!
Pilates will be every Wednesday at 9:30am 45-50 Minutes.
I've been teaching Pilates for 9 years. Pilates is a Core kicker! We all know that any real program designed to make a serious change must go straight to the core! Mat Pilates classes strengthen and tone all of the body's core muscles through targeted exercises. Mat Pilates classes challenge you to focus on specific muscle groups, and, with practice,you will soon build tremendous core strength. Strong core muscles support the spine, reduce back pain, add an amazing new depth to yoga practice, and are an integral component of athletic performance as well as every day balance. No Pilates experience is necessary, and this class is appropriate for students of all ability levels.
Christian Based Yoga will be every Friday at 9:30am 55-60 minutes.
I've been teaching Yoga for 8 years but wanted to add something more to my practice. I heard about Christian Based Yoga and I knew it was for me. I headed to Arizona and became certified at Yahweh Yoga. My Yoga classes are all Hatha Christian Based. You might be wondering; What is the difference between Yoga and Christian based Yoga? The yoga practice is similar, but bringing God into the mix is an amazing difference. In this yoga practice, I encourage proper alignment of the body and bring balance, strength, and calmness to the practitioner.
What do I do in a Christian based yoga class? I invite, inspire, and equip men and woman to experience God more deeply through the practice of Yoga by stating scripture at the beginning and end of class. Worships songs are played during class and I close with a prayer. No Yoga experience is necessary, and this class is appropriate for students of all ability levels.
